Application form for entry to the scarecrow competition
Binbrook Village Scarecrow Competition 2022
The second annual village scarecrow competition will run from Saturday 27th August 2022. Scarecrows will be judged by an independent panel on Saturday 3rd September, with a prize and a trophy presented to the winner on the day.
The theme is ‘The Services’
Entry is free, however scarecrows will need to be registered and allocated a number in order to be judged. A label will be allocated to each entry following your entry form being received. All scarecrows will be highlighted on the village map for visitors to be able to view.
Binbrook residents and businesses wanting to take part must complete the form below and return to:

After the delights they baked up for us at the Jubilee party, we are thrilled that the Binbrook and District WI have offered to lovingly create food boxes to fill our tummies at Scarecrow Festival!
🚜 Ploughman’s Lunch Boxes (Just £6 each):
• Two types of Lincolnshire cheese
• Pickled onions
• Chutney
• Tomato
• Mini pork pie or veggie alternative
• Crusty bread
• Butter
• All served in a box with knife, napkin and salt & pepper
🧸 Teddy Bears’ Picnic Boxes are all packed ready for kids to go picnicking with their favourite teddies (just £4 each):
• A round of sandwiches (cheese, ham, marmalade or jam)
• Crisps
• Fairy cake
• Piece of fruit
• Packet of sweeties
• Carton of juice
• Bubbles for blowing!
• All served in a Teddy Bears’ picnic box with napkin.
Order your boxes in advance by emailing karen@lavenderandlovage.com with your name, address, phone and email along with order details. You can also complete the form in the pics (will also be available in the next issue of the village flyer) and return it to The Cottage, Ludford Road, Binbrook.
Cash is to be paid on collection from the WI cake and refreshments stall in the Village (Queen’s) Hall, Binbrook.
