Binbrook Bowing Club was formed in 2005 by Derek and Joan Parrott. In conjunction with Neil & Grenville Timm, Ken Bottomley plus a few regulars from The Plough Money was sorted and leases were signed.
The Green was finished in 2006 and the club had 30+ members, enough to bowl in 5 leagues. This year our numbers have dwindled to just 17 league members and a dozen social members. We bowl in 3 leagues 2 in the afternoon and one evening. We are however rising from the ashes of the pandemic with a new and enthusiastic green keeper and a good body of both volunteers and committee members.
Last year Brian Pierce started a Boul part of the club and developed a substantial following playing almost until December and restarting their friendly games under cover in February. So the club is looking up and the picture is bright.
